The recent shooting of Dante Wright and the brutal pepper spraying of an army officer, in uniform, represents that sending officers back for training is not the answer. The cop that shot Dante had been on the force for
more than 20 years. In addition she was an instructor. With the host of shootings and brutality , it is clear the problem is escalating instead of declining. Therefore, I believe there is only one solution and that is police across the country must go through a purge. What I mean is, there should be a process to get rid of the racist and white supremacist that permeate the police force and replace them with new recruits. If extreme measures are needed to address this issue, So be it!
There are a lot of good police officers. But even if 1 in 5 are bad, we will remain in this hell.
