Briggette earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Saint Augustine’s University in 1981 and her North Carolina Teacher’s Certification in 1982. Over a 32-year career in education—including service with Wake County Public Schools and Raleigh Parks and Recreation—she helped shape young minds while also pursuing entrepreneurial ventures in catering, event planning, and later, mental health services as a CEO of Compassionate Care Mental Health Services. Following her retirement in 2018, she continued contributing to community well-being as a Quality Assurance team member and Documentation Specialist with Hope First LLC.
